Clarion Hotel Admiral Bergen, Bergen

The hotel has a great location overlooking the harbor with super comfortable beds, but we had a minor inconvenience with cash-only bus fare. The rooms are a bit dark and small but overall good, and the service was excellent. The dining experience offered a variety of hot and cold items, and the facilities were satisfactory.

My stay at Clarion Admiral was a mixed experience. The rooms, although with a good bathroom, lacked proper ventilation, making it hard to sleep and unload things easily. On the bright side, the view of the lake and old town was delightful.

There wasn't much space to work in the room, but the compact size was actually quite charming. The bed was a bit tiny, making it a challenge to move around. Despite that, I found myself more drawn to enjoying the view outside than staying indoors.

The hotel is located directly across the harbor from the colorful buildings that represent Bergen, offering a fabulous view and a short walk from the airport bus stop. The rooms are small but nicely decorated with colors, mirrors, and glasses to minimize the size limitation. The service was particularly helpful, warm, and friendly, accommodating special requests. The dining experience, while with a spectacular view over the harbor, could improve its options and timing. The location is a major plus due to its proximity to the heart of the city center and the lovely old part of Bergen.

The Clarion Admiral is a gem with its cozy rooms, exceptional service, and unbeatable location near the port and station. The unique charm of the hotel shines through, though the worn-down building and limited operating hours of the lobby bar are minor drawbacks.
